Why does the FIND STOLEN VEHICLE take up to 14 dys to find a vehicle?

My 2017 Nissan Platinum Reserve Titan was stolen.
I , with the Police standing by, called "Find Stolen Vehicle" at Nissan immediately. If they had been able to search immediately they would have probably found it. But paperwork took 4 hours.
Disconnected 7 times.
Each time having to re-verify who and why I was calling.
Even after all that they say it may take 14 days to find the car. I asked why that would be and no one could tell me.
I would think they would turn on their "gizmo" and either the car would show up or it wouldn't.
What does "give it time" really mean?
Why would it show up tomorrow when it didn't show up today?
Anyone know how or why the location system works that way?

Wow! That's crazy. I'm with you on this. I would think after they "activated" it - it would return a nearly instantaneous location of your car (unless they've already disconnected the battery or shielded from a cellular signal). I'd question this with Nissan USA. Who needs to know where the powered TCU is? That's about the only thing of value you might find 14 days after it was stolen.

Things have gotten worse. I have called the “Nissan Connect Stolen Vehicle” line for two days and get no answer at all. It’s like all the humans have left. I get a recording to push 1, 2 or 3 but whatever I push the line goes silent and nothing happens. I held on once for 20 minutes just in case but nobody ever picked up. I don’t know who to call to report this problem and my car is still missing. I can’t find any threads or reviews that indicate that the service has ever worked.

I'd start calling your local Nissan Dealer and ask for someone who is knowledgeable with Nissan Connect. You could also call Nissan corporate as a second option.
