Man that 40th Anniversary looks awesome inside and out. I think the review was a little harsh on it, but then again, in context, it's a 2015 car in 2021 where a lot of the competitors have put out redesigned and improved models since this gen of Maxima came out. Still looks the best out of the competitors though.

I think you hit the nail on the head. This car still gets it done after being out for 6 years! The value proposition sometimes gets hidden due to the inflated sticker prices Maxima has. No one hopefully pays anywhere near those numbers! In the real world, both Honda and Toyota and the Koreans have copied this car. The reviewer struggles to classify the Maxima but in fact, it is so loaded with standard equipment! Reviewers don't live in our world with the same ride year to year. Those who do use their own money get what this car is about! I see someone commented at the end of the article about how the Max is a poor man's Avalon. Wrong again, the Max has the equipment you can not get on the Avalon. (Power adjustable steering wheel and column, power rear window sunshade, as for the dual panel sunroof, no dual panel sunroof, adjustable drivers thigh support) Oh yes, a 300 hp V6 30 Mpg + over other turbo fours that suck gas much more

Just noticed the local dealership network in the Little Rock area has 16 of these 40th Anniversary versions in stock, of the 24 total new Maximas they have. That's a huge percentage of their Maxima stock for a special edition!

Woah that's a lot! The PHX dealers all seem to have gotten either 1 or 2 each.
