Rear pads and rotors with only 25k miles?

Took my 18 max in for inspection recently at the dealer (first mistake I know). Said rear pads and rotors needed to be replaced. Seems insane to me. I know pads and rotors arnt made like they used to be, but I've never had a car that needed rear pads and rotors at only 25k miles. They were still ok enough to pass inspection, but definitely gonna get a 2nd opinion. No, I'm not a hard driver at all

Had the oil changed at the dealer for my mother's 2005 Maxima (with only 79k miles at the time, Dec 2019) and the dealer also said the same thing. I looked at all the brakes when I got home by removing the wheels and checking both pads on either side of each rotor. They looked like they could go another 50k miles. Not sure what they were looking at. They were only charging $30 for oil change, filter, tire rotation and inspection...so my guess is they were trying to upsell given the cheap service cost of that visit.

If you were a "hard" driver with a ft. wheel drive car the wear and tear would tend to be more on the fronts.
