4th gen maxima aftermarket double din stereo (Pioneer AVH110bt) video wire to brake

Here’s some photos of how I connected the video wire to parking brake wire.

id spent 4yrs finding the best method and understanding before doing this.

obviously it’s not the best best, but damn I did good.

Hope it’s clear for others.

This is an ongoing issue I've had and basically given up on, so I appreciate this thread, but I have to say... .can't really understand what's going on from your photos.

Kinda looks like you installed a toggle switch

I think OP chose to do the hard way.

Pioneer expects a delayed GRD signal to the video wire. Connect green wire to one pin of a switch, the other pin of the switch to HU chassis ground. Cycle the switch on-off-on when you want to play video. The device sold on Amazon/Ebay is basically a timer circuit which provides ground after xx seconds after the HU is powered up.

You can get switch at a local (microcenter) computer store for cheap.
