I've haven't been on this forum in a long time, I used to have a silver 2016 Nissan Maxima Platinum that I mentioned on this site before, Well, I brought a house last year and I had to sale it. debt to income deal. Carmax gave me a good amount for it where Nissan dealer only offer me around $ 13,000 for it and it was in mint condition. I take care of my stuff. i only had to come out of the pocket $ 800 with Carmax and they took the car off my hands and i had to give the paperwork to my loan officer in regard to my house to show that i didn't have a car payment anymore. Now i always wanted a white platinum. So i saw a dealership selling a white 2020 platinum with only 2700 miles on it. I'm here in the Phoenix, AZ area and the car was a California lemon law buyback. Now I know what your thinking. (Don't buy it) The dealership originally wanted around $ 39,000 and i told them i would buy it if they can come down on the price and they said no. So while i was waiting for my new house to be finished being built i kept checking the website. I notice as time went by, they kept lowering the price. now any of you who has a brought a house before, you know you can't take on any new debt till you close on the house. so all i could do is wait. A week before i closed on my new house, I went down to Carmax and sold my car and renting a car and a day after i closed I went down to the dealership and the was now around $ 33,000. its still has the new car warranty. which expired this October. I brought the Car April 22 of last year. The bank originally gave me a rate of 4.6 but the next day after i brought the car, I logged into my account and they lowered it to 4.34. I honestly didn't know that banks lowered rates after you brought something, even my son was shock when i told him they did that. The buyer in California stated that he heard a noise when he drove the car and didn't want it anymore. The dealership in California replace the struts and Nissan brought the car back. The only reason i still brought it was cause it still had the New car warranty on it. The dealership did tell me when i got the car to hold on to it cause if i ever tried to trade it in, I would get seriously low ball if a dealership was to buy it due to the lemon title. Today the car has around 33,000 miles on and i haven't had any serious problems except the problem with the Sirus xm Nav traffic which i'm taking it the dealership this friday due to it still being under the car warranty. I know it's not a Lexus but i wish Nissan had loaner cars too. They told me that they don't provide loaner but i could rent a car from hertz and i'll be able to used their rate which are lower then what everyone else pay. just my 2 cents here, But i think any car that you have, if it should have to go in the shop for more then a day, they should provide you with a loaner is its still under warranty. I purchase gap insurance for the car too. The dealership wanted close to a grand for it and i told them that my credit union who is financing the car has it for $ 299 and told me i had 30 days to add it after i bought the car so finance manager ended up selling me there Gap insurance for the same price as the credit union. now that i think about i, I should of told him to beat the credit union price.
Now a week after i brought the car, I got the hood, headlights, front bumper and front fenders, plus the back of the mirrors covered in Paint protection film otherwise known as clear bra. Plus Ceramic Coating on the car and ceramic tint on all windows including the windshield. My windshield tent is 30 or 35. I see alot of cars here in Arizona with windshields tinted and the cops don't enforce it. I've even seen cops when i'm driving down the street and he coming from the opposite direction and i'm thinking he's going to pull me over and they never do. you can't see me in day time when i'm driving but i can see you clear as day in the night time or day time. I've included some pictures of the how the windshield looks with the tint when your looking from inside the car and out.
Some options the car had on it when i brought it.............
External Ground Lighting.
Illuminated Kick Plates.
Interior lighting.
I brought an impact sensor from Nissan. I found out if someone breaks your window, the factory alarm will not go off, if someone used a jack to lift your car to steal your wheels, the alarm will not go off. the only time that it will go off is if the door is lock and someone was to open it. so I purchase an impact sensor so if someone was to mess with my car, it will go off and when i'm home. I parked my car in the garage. if i'm in the house, she's in the house too. lol. plus i see all of these ring videos of people braking into cars that are parked in the drive way or streets in front of that person house. plus your paints last longer when you park your car in the Garage. I've included a picture of the impact sensor incase some wants the information. I think if a manufacturer is going to install a factory alarm system on a car, They should have an impact sensor installed with it.
Plus I have the All season floor mats (rubber) Nissan Brand and the Nissan Rubber trunk protector.

Great looking car there! Is that the impact sensor on the windshield? I see you also have the rocker panel trim as well. Make sure you get any car problems noted before the warranty times out. How many miles on the car? Best of luck that the car works out.

The car currently has around 33,000 miles on it and 2700 miles when i purchased it last year., what you see in the windshield is a 4K dash cam that record the front of the car and inside the car plus a camera in the rear window to record behind you as you drive, by the way, thank you for the compliment. That actually my goal to get everything check out before the warranty expires.
I had to do something similar when I moved across the country. I used a shipping service to get my car to my new place, and it was surprisingly easy. They kept me updated the whole time, and it arrived in perfect condition. I love that you got the paint protection film and ceramic coating; it really helps keep your ride looking fresh in that Arizona sun. And yeah, the tint situation is wild—some places really don't seem to care! The impact sensor is a smart add-on, especially with all the car theft stories going around. Keeping your car safe is definitely a priority. If anyone’s curious about logistics, there’s a solid resource on how to ship a car across country that really breaks it down.
