Anyone had issues in the past with a 2016 Nissan Maxima or similar model. Tail light running light not working

 

I am having issues with passenger and inner running lights not working. Brake, turn signal and back up lights work. It’s just the running lights on the passenger side not working. I replaced the whole taillight due to water damage but it won’t come on. I checked fuse and even plugged the new light to the left side driver cable harness to see if it would turn on and it did. If anyone can help and drop some knowledge on this I’d appreciate it . Thank you.
