Cost of antifreeze drain / refill of Max 3.5 ?

I have a 2012 Maxima 3.5 with 78000 miles. I am past the 10 year antifreeze change. Does anyone happen to know what this might cost at a Nissan Dealership ?

Why would you even considering the stealership to do this simple task.
It will be way cheaper to purchase your own antifreeze if cost and the brand used is a concern and have a local shop do it.
you save tons of money and your money is going to support a small business
Cheers.

Changing out coolant is extremely basic and you're likely better off taking it to a basic chain mechanic place than the dealership. Coolant is like 25 bucks max then maybe .5 to 1hr to drain it and bleed the system again

I merged your two threads. Having two identical threads in two different forums is not needed. Note, we have a fluids and lubricants sub-forum too.

Yes, an arm and a leg.

Like the others stated, do the job yourself, have a friend help you, or take it to your local mechanic. EXTREMELY easy job.

The majority of people on this forum tend to seek knowledge for DIY. If this is not you, then I totally understand. If you have any desire to learn and DIY, then be brave. Every unfamiliar project can seem a bit scary. I recall doing my first drain and fill coolant project many years ago. With 3 family cars, I lost track of how many I have done now.

Dealers do have their place. But I would only use them for complicated fixes. That is why they charge so much more because they know Nissans & Infiniti's. But for simple things like coolant changes, get a local mechanic to do it or better yet, do it yourself. You will never regret the knowledge learned and money saved.

Like the others stated I would recommend you either do it yourself or take it to a local shop if you're not up to the job. Also, I would recommend you change the hoses, thermostat, and the radiator filler neck as well since they're all 10 yrs old as well. The filler neck becomes brittle and breaks easily after 10yrs and so many heat cycles over those same 10yrs.
