Was driving back from work today when i noticed my cruise control not working, thought sensor was dirty but then realized 360 cameras dont work either. After driving a bit more all the dash lights would turn on and i have no throttle, the dash shows 160mph and 0 rpm. After about 3 sec everything goes back to somewhat normal, cruise control still doesnt work and my cameras randomly work. Any idea what can cause this, anything helps.

 

Do a voltage test on your battery while the car is off and while the car is running to determine the health of your battery and alternator. Check out the video below. I suspect your alternator is on its way out.

 

Will do some voltage tests later today, battery is brand new only couple months old

 

Check engine popped up saying speed sensor code p0500, im pretty sure thats the one on the transmission, does anyone know where i can get good sensor?

 

Got a couple new sensors as theres 3 on the transmission but changing them seemed to do nothing, still no cameras or cruise control and the cutting out seems to happen more frequently not sure why

 

I feel that your 12 volt battery is weak, or has a bad cell.

 

Battery is 11/23 so almost brand new and just above 14v on the multimeter, i sometimes get high voltage on my 12v socket it happens when it bugs out

 

It might be your alternator. I just had mine replaced on my 2017 SL with 140k miles with similar symptoms to yours. Was driving and then one by one, the lights and warnings started going on on the dash, lost throttle, then I lost AC and power steering and car only crawled until I put it in park and shut it off and then it didn't turn on again. Funny thing is that I had it towed to the dealer and there was another 2017 Max there but only with 85k miles, mine has 140k. So it might just be a time things where the stock alternators wear out around this time.

 

Did you follow the advice and testing in the Youtube video? You haven't reported your findings regarding the alternator.
