So need some heater core bypass knowledge and help.

My car began to overheat as I was parked after a short trip, I was idling for less than 4 minutes and it started to overheat, I began driving as it was happening, saw the meter keep creeping up and immediately swung into a parking spot snd turned off the engine. I guess it was too late as she was smoking from hood passenger side, I discovered the two heater core hoses into the firewall broke off and all my coolant gone upon the ground...

Can I just cap those two hoses off or just buy the bypass kit I see in the automotive stores? As you probably know when driving all my water leaks out of those two hoses so I really cannot drive it until I resolve that issue. (I live in Florida, my heat never worked since I bought the car seven years ago, heat does not matter to me but air conditioning sure does.) If I just bypass it or cap them off, will my air conditioner still work perfectly? I have had the air conditioner off since this happened hoping no water would leak if I just did not use it but as we all know now that is not to be. Please help.

don't just cap the outlets. the way the heater works is constant flow with a blend door under the dash. you can use a brass elbow and some hose from the auto parts store, I forget what size though.

What about the universal heater core bypass kits? I do not care about using the heat at all at this time. For a long time. I never did in seven years.

As said you cannot just plug the hoses, you would need to get a brass pipe from a hardware store and some hose clamps and loop the 2 heater core lines together in a loop to bypass the heatercore

Yes, I am beyond capping and plugging the two hoses that once went into the firewall and heater core. I am all about heater core bypassing now which I have done with the universal heater bypass kit and testing her out now.

2 hoses and an elbow is as universal as it gets lol. eventually I got a 3/4" silicone U off ebay for a cleaner look.

How long have you been enduring that issue? Did you lose all your coolant? Or...?

it happened while I was pulling out my old engine last march. I live in Florida so I can get away with not having heat.

That firewall result is exactly like mine except I have no spacious room because my engine bay is full. I had to work with everything intact. I got it connected. I should supply my final result picture soon. No heat is never necessary.
