you can feel a dime on the road

I love my 2018 Maxima, but the ride is so bumpy. My wife keeps rubbing it in saying her Accord is way smoother, lol.
I don't know if there's anything I can do. It only has like 26k miles on it. The only I can think of is maybe different tires?
Thanks in advance for any help.
Cheers,
John

tires, shock mounts, bushings, that's about it.

Thanks. Considering how little mileage there is on the vehicle, I didn't really want to replace more than the tires. I don't know if it would make that much of a difference, and if so, which tires to get.

tire rack is pretty good w stats and choices and prices.

or just dont have ur wife drive it or ride it in any more... now if you agree with the harshness... tires would be a decent stab at it if you need them soon anyway. i wouldn't do the tires untill you have more than one reason to replace them.

some cars are just what they are..... the ride I have now after the maxima is clunky handling but feels smooth and luxurious in its stock form. i changed the tires (needed them for inspection) and it was pretty big difference. but that was from Runflats to regular tires which are a whole different change than a regular old tire to regular new tire.

if you are in tune with you car you may notice the tire change, but if you are not that into the car you may not notice. i don't know this gen much but in general most mods only make handling and suspension stiffer as its more for performance and not comfort. thats why i suggested strut mounts bushing and tires, anything else is more performance at the loss of comfort.

single largest cause of a "harsh" ride is tire sidewall. if you want softer youll need a smaller wheel and larger aspect ratio tire. you may be able to find a softer tire in your current size but then youll run a higher risk of sidewall bubbles/blowouts from fairly minor impacts and bending wheels.

Thank you all for your suggestions. I think I'll just have to suck it up and deal with it. I like the car otherwise.

yea slvr2KSE5 has a good point tire size can do more than new tires alone, there are a few sizes you can change to and keep it in spec to benefit form the tire size changes.

i did that on my current ride, i got taller tires by 0.6 inches filled in the wheel gap a lil more too (upgraded from factory 245/40/R19 to 255/40/R19)

best bet is when you need tires upgrade the size as well as finding a tire type you want for comfort.
