I am getting ready to put my old head uint from a former car into my new Maxima I uesed to have a 91 Stanza my head uint is a P9200R and I have a 400 watt Rockfordfosgate X400.4 Amplfier I don't want to get any subs just right now what I mainly want right now is very good mid and high I love classical music what speakers do you guys use and what do you recomend with this amplifer I know Infinty has good speakers but are there any brands that might do just as well at a lower cost any help would be a big help
And are Vegas a good brand

I've been using Infinity Kappas - 6x9's in the rear, and 6 1/2's in the front - for several years now. In my opinion, they are great all-around speakers, especially the 6x9's which are driven by a small amp putting 50 watts to each speaker (I know it's weak but it's small and my goal was clarity). I don't think Kappas are that expensive now, I'm sure you could search around and pick some up for under 200 bucks.
polks...good on highs especially
or with the pioneer headunit try pioneer speakers, horn tweeters would be good for you. I think with speakers good for highs like those on the amp will be very good for classical...and if no sub, id do pionner 6x9s, dont need a sub! for under 90$ now you can get really good ones.
then go to radio shack and get optimus tweeters for the sail panels opposite the side mirrors. wire to door speakers. BIG difference.

well, infinity kappas are tight and sound really good with an amp, but their new silver models are 10 times better. My friend as them and i had the old green ones. But right now i have audiobahn components and i think they sounded better than my kappas. They aren't too expensive either. You could probably pic up a pair for like 120.
