Wsp Vs Budget

It is time for me to stop watching and start playing. So I am going to start with a Y-pipe. 97 Maxima in Maine. I was wondering (from only the people ruinning one or the other) Which would be a better choice WSP or Budget money is definetly an issue, but I want an easy install and the product to last I also want to be able to install by the end of FEB. I will be on vacation so I will let my mechanic have the car then.

Thanks
Shawn

When you say "big", do you just mean supercharging/turbocharging? I am also in the market for Y-pipe from WSP. I may do Nitrous at some point in the future but that is about as big as I'll go. Will I be alright with the aluminized too or should I pay the difference and get the SS?

Okay dont worry about anything "big", I have no idea what he is talking about there but even if you did SC or what not you would still be fine with either one.

Now being up in Maine I may recommend the Warpspeed Performance one. And get the SS version. The reason for these two reason is the Warpspeed 4 year warranty on it. Which may even be longer than you own your car but who knows. being where you live possibly near a coast line or at very least in a place where lots of snow etc, it is nice to know if it rusts or anything like that you can get it replaced. I am aldo on the Northeast myself and also know that when we get the snow the salt and tuff is never any good for the exposed metal.

It is your choice but I would get the SS and not worry about it for 4 years rather than cheap out now and pay more to erplace it later on.

if warspeed truly doesnt have the bees in can sound get that, i got the budget, performance gains are very noticeable, fits perfect, and i dont rilly care about the bees in can sound its not that bad at all, plus it was only 175 with shipping, but i only hear good things about warpspeed, and the only difference i think is the bees in can sound so thats up to you, i dont mind it at all

TIG is the best ... but do you really need it? I have a Budget Y pipe on mine. I didn't like it at first, but it gives decent power gains at a low cost. . The Bees in the can sound seems to disappear, especially now that I have the CAI. You can't hear the pipe at all!

I have the crushbent warp speed pipe. I think its worth it, I paid 194 (shiped). It really doesnt make any wierd noises, just a little ruffer sound to the exhaust, I also have a str8 threw muffler and cai. After the initial woosh when u start the car u cant hear a thing till about 2.5k-3.5k where there is a little bit of droaning but jsut a little not like a honda with a muffler even. I can set off the 1st stage of a dual stage car alarm in the school parking garadge but thats about the only time it is notticeable. One annoying thing though was that the wps pipe was 3/4 inch longer than stock so it made my muffler stick out a little more than i think looks good but oh well. Over all with a cai, ypipe, and muffler it isnt as loud as a stock 4.7mustang.

Mandrel Bend is of course the best, but our pipes don't have very tight bends in them anyway. The most difference you'll see on Mandrel vs non-mandrel on OUR application is probably 2HP. Different people will probably have different opinions. This is info I got from the pipe makers.

when i said big.......i was talking about sc/turbo/nos.........i called up dallas about a month ago and this is exactly what he told me.... for boosted applications the stainless steel is the way to go, but otherwise aluminized steel is the way to go
