How dow I adjust the trunk mechanism so my pop trunk operates without getting stuck. I think what is happening is it is slidding down where the valet option is.

 

i also have this problem, however i do not know how to fix it.

 

I have the exact same problem, this weekend me and my friends are fixing it, we are trying to get a sort of stick or welding figure, to stop the trunk from hitting the valet option, because that is exactly what is happening, and is a common problem on a max.

I finally got the time and figured out how to fix it. On the body in the trunk there is a line that pulls to open the trunk. At the end of the line there is a ball with a rubber washer. I used a "home made" plastic washer. I cut slit in it and slid it on in between the ball and the rubber washer. My trunk works fine now.
