A quick q about rims and lowering

The weather's cleared up and the salt's off the roads, so I want to put my new set of 18 * 8 rims on asap. Only thing is, i've heard that it looks crappy if you dont lower the car when you put the rims on. Any truth to this, should I go ahead with the rims? I've been saving for GC coilovers and KYB AGX struts and the fund is around 500 right now, so I cant put the rims/struts/coilovers on all at once to lower the car obviously because I dont have the latter two items. So question is, do I put the rims on now, or wait till late july when I have the struts and coilovers? Thanks for the input.

i say you put them on now, even though there will be a little wheel gap, but it'll still look good, and then once you're finally able to lower the car, it'll give you a new look and you will be able to enjoy the looks twice

This is the voice of experience talking here: it will definately look gay. But if you can only afford to get the wheels right now then you don't have much choice do you?

People say if you don't it looks like a 4x4 but, i am not sure about 18's. if i were you i would put them on, your not hurting anything or anybody. And in late july get it slammed Rims make almost any car, when chosen right, look tight.

Based on your current situation I would agree.

Put them on before lowering. Unless you look closely most people won't even notice. My sig pic is without being lower on 18"s.

People will notice, but who are they to talk. Unless they are rollin on aftermarket wheels too, they don't have room to criticize
