Short throw shifter/Y-pipe for the 2002

Has anyone made the change yet? I'm wondering because the 02 6speed has a rubber boot that needs to be held/pulled upwards in order to allow movement into reverse-gear. would an aftermarket STS take this into consideration?

Regarding the y-pipe that everyone seems to install, does the previous gen aftermarket y work on the 02s? I haven't seen any 02 owners mention adding this to their car yet?

Thanks for any info.

No 02 owners have installed a Y-Pipe(with out lots of custom work) because nobody makes one for the 02.

A STS may not work becuase the 02 uses a cable shifter not a typical rod setup/

Thanks a lot for the response, that's all I wanted to know.

Too bad though, I'd have liked at least an STS ...
