Should I use bushings around Stillen RSB?

To prevent banging with the factory RSB (or whatever you call the cross bar between the rear wheels). I've seen pictures of the ADCO RSB and they use U bolts to tie theirs to the original cross beam.

Several posters have commented about banging noises when going over bumps. I was wondering if this wasn't due to the bar running close to the original. Seems like bushings around the rod would solve this problem. I could also consider doing the same as ADDCO. I did a search and did not find anything specific to the Stillen RSB.

On an alternate note, has anyone had any luck locating stainless steel versions of the socket end caps that Stillen uses with their RSB? I want to avoid them rusting in case I have to take them off. I've tried PepBoys, Kragens, Home Depot, etc. without any luck. Thanks in advance.

I have thought about doing this as well. If you do it please post pics. Also as far as the banging the bar does, tighten the bolts real good. just make sure they are tight and the banging should go away. If you want bolts that look like the ones stillen provides in stainless steel then my guess is that you need to get them from a specialty shop. There are two in my area that have them in stainless steel. Where in California are you located?

Just make sure you are not trying to solve a problem that doesn't exist. I've had no "banging" of any sort from my Stillen RSB.
