Concur with YIOK...stocks will last a while depending on driving conditions and location.

In the same boat...

Hey...I'm looking to get my Maxspeed springs anyday now, and I fully plan on smacking them on my 10k mi. old stock struts. If they last ten thou more miles, great! You can't sell used struts very well, so you might as well still use them until they blow out

It should be usable unless you have the Ground Control Coil Overs.. that'll just blow them out.

I just installed H&R's on my stock struts and am not having any problems so far. I live in NYC also. The ride is bumpy at times but over all it's ok. There actually wasn't as big of a drop as I thought there would be ( it is supposed to be 1.4 in the front and 1.3 in the back). I have 19K on the my car so far and plan to get coil overs and new rims and tires when I hit 30K.

Only reason I didn't get H&Rs was that after installation the car looks uneven. Almost like a slight rake biased towards the rear.
The Eibachs dropped my car the perfect amount to drive on NYC's streets and handle AutoX duties.
My car is uneven with the H&Rz. High front Low back. and they are 1.3front and 1rear

Maxspeed gives you a 1.7" and 1.4" drop (F/R respectively). Same ride as H&R.
