Possibly record breaking 2K2 6spd stock run...

First, I dont know what the record is for the new 2K2 Maxima 6spd, but I do know that I feel my time is pretty darn good. Okay, enough qualifications, here are the results.
R/T .871
60' 2.289
330 6.230
1/8 9.387
MPH 78.24
1000 N/A
1/4 14.288
MPH 98.25

This was my best time all afternoon. The temp was a consistent 30 degrees and the humidity was very low, so weather was on my side. My launches were really crappy, but I'm pleased with the end result. My other bests were a 14.306 at 97.76mph and 14.378 at 97.71mph. I would consistently hit 14.399 or 14.40X. Pretty good for my first time out.

For all of you doubters, I have timeslips and will post them as soon as I can access a scanner.

Congrates on the times ED!!!

Awsome first showing, and how many miles did you get on it before you ran it at the track?? Now we just need some vids of next week. Aren't you glad this sucker can just walk all over your prelude?? hmmm and without mods.

I'd also like to note that he got the car a week ago, and I think we all know what that means. I'd take it a little easier on it for the next 1000 miles, or do you already have 1000 miles on it ?

You know what...

I think you should make copies of your timeslip along with a little note and send them to every major car mag who tested the 2k2 max. They obviously don't know how the hell to drive and amatuer drivers here can shift better than they can.

I think that would be a good idea to show them and the world what the Maxima really is capible of. Just think if they printed it. You'd become famous

Very nice run man.

Thanks all. The car had 1287 miles my first run. Surprisingly, I was very careful during the first 1K miles, but now that those are over with......

What WAS the previous stock 6spd record?

Nice time. And yet look at that crappy 60. The 2k2 6 speed is a 14.0 capable car I am sure of it... they just need to let me behind the wheel of one

Whats the best way to launch the Max? I'm just so used to the 6K feather in the Prelude. I was trying a 3K feather in the Max and either bogged or got wheel hop.

Well, warren could give you some tips on 4th Gens, but I am willing to bet that your car is going to be a little bit different on the launch, so seems like you need to just play at the track some more

Ya that will do for regular driving I'm sure. A lot of guys drop the front tire pressure.

Btw did you put your modded Prelude up for sale right after you busted out your 14.2 in your stock 4 door reasonably priced family car?

Russ cannot be beaten. Anywhere, anytime, by anyone. We should all learn this and accept it as Newtons 4th law.

Hi SCC and doubters!!

-=JRC=-

13.92 .......bdubz1
bdubz1 will post his timeslips as soon as he scans them. I guess Phatguys should be posting the 14.2 Timeslip right about now. Or perhaps he shouldn't bother.

Well if you wanna run over to Altimas.net and start a thread on A time that you cannot prove than I sure as hell can come over here and do the same!

Yeah a blistering 15 second run with a full trunk a full tank of gas and my first time running a 1/4 mile track.... I did not brake torque either.....We'll atleast I beat a Max....

Atleast I can post my times.....your too busy talking about everyone elses Max but your Own. So when you get the ***** post your times and we will see who has the last laugh.

BTW ....I have no mods on my car yet. When I get the Launches right my times will get better. So you can laugh at my times as a novice. But atleast i have the ***** to post my times. I may brag about other Alty times but I have enuff guts to post my times aswell( And you don't think that I know my times sucked!).

Geez, Altimas in the 13s!!!!!!!!!!! Thats great. I know there is some rivalry between the Max and Alty, but come on.....13s is great for a moderately priced 4door. I'm ordering the frankencar intake this afternoon and hope it will be here for Sunays track day. Other than an intake, I dont think there are any other 2K2 mods out yet. Not doing a cat-back, maybe a Y-pipe when it comes out.
