What's the fastest anyone has done on a public street or highway? I was just wondering this yesterday on my way home from work doing about 115 at one point. Luckily, when I got stopped, the State Trooper only clocked me at 84 in a 70. But my fastest on the highway (I-20 Columbia, SC) is 135mph. I was racing a Honda Accord back in December. We raced for about 4 miles starting out at 90mph. Probably would have gotten faster than 135mph but I was at my exit. I shouldn't have taken my exit instead I should have taken the Accord !! You know if we would have gotten caught, we would have been more than 2 times over the posted speed limit (60mph) !!!!

What's your fastest, how much over the limit and where??

 

Highway, with a stock 93 GXE, I dunno EXACTLY how fast, but the needle was well past the 125 mark, almost down to the "H" in MPH...
Made it from the Great Lakes Navy base to uhh, whatever the airport in Chicago is in about 15 minutes... That was mostly either 55-60 zone
Street, I usually average 70-80 in 25-35 zones... I can't go much over that in New England!
As soon as I send my car in to fix the exhaust leak it won't be stock anymore.... I'm gonna fix it GOOD this time

130 in the Max, on that same stretch! its perfect because its 5 lanes and there are retainging walls on both sides, no place for cops to hide! around 12:30 am with no other cars its open season....

 

Ballsy man. I know they are out patrolling in unmarked cars, but like you said, when no one's out there, 495 is a great place to stretch the cylinders.

I have only been up to 110 in the Max and she didn't even shake! Go Nissan!

 

yeah, its one of those things you do and then you get home and think "WTF did I just do!?!?!?!" but I gotta admit, it was fun as hell yeah it was about 1am on a weekday night, so it was empty, would've never done it with others in the vicinity!

 

I dont know the fastest ive been. But I once got a ticket for 104 in a 65 zone. Needless to say my insurence is now very expensive!

i was racing a sentra ser v-spec on I-5 and flew by him doing 140mph could have kept going cause i was only in 4th gear but decided to let off before and thing happened or i got a ticket

135mph in my stock VE 5spd at like 11pm on Ocean Pkwy heading out to jones beach. Held strong and had more left...i backed off cuz i realized how much $hit i would be in if a state trooper had caught me...who says i cant do it again, maybe really see how fast she can go

 

128mph in a 35mph zone on a 97 BMW M3. . I was working valet parking and this sweet little M3 came, so i decided to take it for a spin on city streets, went 128, was in 5th gear in now time. Was one phat expriment. As far as my max my speedometer only goes up to 125, but i think it went past that. id say maybe in 130 zone. on a NJ turnpike

 

It would have to be 150 in the 3000GT. Car wanted more...Driver ran out of *****

i was passenger in my friends 2k se 5spd..did 135 on rt 78 in newark,
i did 120 in my eagle talon tsi on rt 78 in bridgewater
i did 105 in my max on rt 78 somewhere around berkely heights
speedin is pretty stupid though,it can only do more harm than good
BTW as you can tell rt 78 in NJ is a good speedin spot

 

I did 148 in my max, on 81.

 

It's not right to mess with someone elses property for "one phat experement", something they worked realy hard for. I can't begin to imagine how angry i would be if someone like you were to do something like that to my car.

When i was racing a 87 300zx the 300 toped out at 120 but i kept going and got to about 150 mph. but need suspension work before i try it again.

 

155+ in a friends s/ced 351 powered Stang. Couldn't tell the actual speed cuz I was about to **** my pants and I was clutching on to the roll cage. Hopefully 200+ mph soon in the Primespeed built super Z I'm going to see next Thursday Ahahahahahaha..

 

exactly why i don't get my car valeted anywhere, that and the fact that i don't let anyone drive my car except mechanics and the like when absolutely necessary. plus they try to get them back so fast they just drive them like morons. dude, you realize how much trouble you would've been in with everyone if you got pulled over. you'd obviousely be out of a job, probably spend some time in prison, and the guy could probably sue you and the company you worked for.

 

i think we're talking about mph, and that 121, is definately in km/h, and i'm assuming the 143 also...what's that in mph either way, the reflect thing on your windshield is really cool, i want that.

 

about 125 in a 70. pulled over for going 90(!!!! #1), got a ticket for 79 (!!!! #2) and got off about a week ago in court (final !!!!). yeah, they clocked me from the f-ing sky!!!probably why they let me off though. oh well, aren't speedo's pretty off up there anyway, like either + or - like 5-10 mph?

clocked by a cop at 143 in my GXE.
weekly I hit 150+ in my SE on my 50 mile drive home to see Kelly every weekend.
50 mile drive, 22 minutes average driving time.

when im like 130 or 125 i guess, I cant go faster because the speed its regulated!!

3rd gens dont have speed limiters.

 

CometMax,sweet, a Maxima with the rarely seen digital dash and HUD!!!! As for me, I'll take it up to 65 in a 50, etc etc..don't have much open space in the city, so I can't ramp it up too far without having a bumper in my face. w00t-ar, we don't ahve speed limiters.

i've come close to the end of 5th. . . the needle was burried way past 145 in my max. i did this with W rated tires, and my suspension work done.

i had the Vette to 168 before i started to feel sick. . .

Not exactly sure, it was past the 145 mark on my speedometer. I was going 125 around circle 4 (new circle rd) in Lexington, Ky where I live two days ago before the snow!

normally 85-90 in a 55 here on circle4 even after snow

 

The most i have ever went was 120 mph in a 40 mph zone.. east side FDR in manhattan.....Also on belt parkway and cross island racing wit NyceMaxima and Burton..... doing like 100+

 

My max have a speed limiter!!!!! Im sure of it!!!

i got up to at least 140 in my 90 se, going down ca52 (in east san diego, if any of you care) at like 1am. 140 was just a guess, cuz my speedo only goes up to 125. i felt like i was flying. kinda crazy. i was driving down a slight grade, which gave me that speed. i could have gone faster, but i didnt want the speedo needle to go all the way around and break when it hit the other side of the rest pin at zero. hehe.

 

Well i have a 89 VE maxima and when i was on the Highway i hit about 115 mph and then i backed down because i didnt want to get a ticket. Then on a normal street i have hit about 100 mph that was kinda scary.

I really did hit 131 MPH
and I did 143 MPH downhill
But I did at kinda at spur at the momment so I decided to just take a pic with it in Kilometers...I guess you guys arn't at stupid as Clubsi.com lol

129 in my 72 Chrystler New Yorker with 440 and 4 bl carb with 6 people in car down country road

clocked at 140 mph in my 89 SE Maxima on SR 37 (went to jail )


All of the speeds posted are rediculous on any public roadway and street racing is illegal and will get your car imponded and you a$$ in jail. I speak from experience. Take it to the track and be safe...

 

I can't get my cruise control to set over 94!
It was annoying driving from Chicago to Ct, at 2am thru deserted highway and only being able to cruise at 94
