So heres the deal...I was driving along and i went to shift gears and the car just died. Turns out that the engine cont fuse blew- so i replaced it. It started fine but as soon as I touched the shifter the fuse blew again.

I probably shouldnt be driving it anyway since i know i need a new clutch but i needed to go somewhere.

Any ideas?

 

Of course I knew why mine was blowing. I had wrecked my car and ripped off the entire exhaust system along with O2 sensor. The wires on the O2 sensor would short out from time to time and kill the car. Check the wires under the hood and around the sensors for shorts, like the O2 and MAF. My understanding (and I could be wrong) is that the cont. fuse blows so not to damage the ecu. Call Nissan and ask them what all runs through the cont. fuse, that may narrow down your search. No one else had responded, hope this helped in some way (?).
