I dont post here very often but I just thought id post here for help.. Wednesday morning I woke up to find my maxima was missing.. I have a 1990 Maxima GXE. I thought my mother was driving it so I called her up and asked how could she be driving 3 cars because we have 3 cars and all 3 werent home.. Of course she didnt know what the hell I was talking about because she had her car and my step dad had his so we called the police and all that other stuff.. Well by 2PM they gave us a call back and said they found the car earlier that morning about 15 miles from here..

We went to look at the car down at the police compound and the dash was a mess.. These ****ers(pardon my french but im still very ****ed about this) raped out my jvc head unit and the door and rear speakers.. Not only that but I had a lady's computer on the backseat I fixed and was about to deliver and the bastards took that too.. I was planning on selling the car this month so I had 2 for sale signs in there I hadnt written on yet and the ****ers stole that too along with my nokia car charger and my damn umbrella.. They rummaged through all my papers and stuff I had in there, crumbling them up individually as if they were looking for something interesting.. They also took the battery, for what reason only God knows but I guess the alarm must have been ****ing them off or something.

I dunno how they moved the car but by the tire marks outside my house it looks like it was towed, by a tow truck or wrecker or something.. The funny thing is I was home sleeping that morning and I heard none of this, didnt hear the dogs bark and the neighbors saw none of this.. My mother left home for work at about 9AM and she said she saw it there and I woke up at 11:30.. When I woke up I just went straight on the net to start looking for my replacement car for this one(want a 4th gen max) and about an hour later I noticed the car wasnt there..

Another thing thats ****ing me off is I just got the car back from the police today and after looking through all the crap they left in there(including a dirty sock and some towel), I found a sheet of paper with someones name on it. I dont know who this person is but they go to my school. The paper also had his student #, the class he was doing(creative writing 301) and the section but its from february 2001.. Ive cleaned that car countless times since then and I definitely, without a doubt, dont know who this person is. I called up all my friends and people who've ridden in my car to see if they know that name and they all said no.. Whats eating me is that school is closed now till monday so I cant find this person.. Id like to see their face to see if I recognize them.. If not then I dont know what ill do but im really ****ed.. I turned the information over to the police too and hopefully they follow up on it but id like to check this out for myself.

I have a link with the pictures of the car below... They ****ed up my dash royally.. Does anyone know where I can get that bracket the head unit sits in with the pocket that goes underneath it? I also need the panel that goes around that too

That sucks dude. At least they found your car though man, and it wasn't totalled or completely stripped down. Slap a used headunit and a new center piece in there, sell it, and buy a 4th gen. If you find that guy let us know.

okay... first- anyone who steals a car more than 10 years old should be slapped. second, if they were smart, they'd realize that it's worth a lot more parted out than stealing your stereo. at least they left some evidence behind, so if the police fail to proove anything, you can go steal your stuff back, or liberate some of his if he's pawned it already. messing with a mans car is not a good way to make friends.

 

Sorry to hear man, sure seems like a bunch of Max's are being broken into/stolen lately.
