Lexol leather cleaner on graphite leather

Hey guys,

I don't speak up much around here, but I always enjoy reading the boards.

Yesterday, I purchased some Lexol leather cleaner and leather conditioner. I had been using Meguiar's combo (cleaner & conditioner in one) but decided to give Lexol a try.

I tried the two-step clean and condition process on a small area and was a little surprised at the results. During the cleaning step, I noticed that the white rag I was using was taking on a dark gray, dark blueish color. This worried me because the color looked very much like the true color of the graphite leather in my I30t. It's mostly a dark gray color but you can tell it contains a hint of blue. (I figure it's no different than the graphite leather used in 5th generation Maximas, if that helps.)

Anyhow, I applied the conditioner step to that area (didn't want to leave it unconditioned) but stopped there. If the cleaner was actually removing dye from the leather, I didn't want to "clean" every leather surface.

What are the real odds that the grime on my seats was really that color--dark gray/blue? My gut says not very high. That's why I am worried that it may be the dye of the leather itself. Keep in mind that I've been using a combo cleaner/conditioner that may have contributed to this, but that product never tranferred any color to the white rag aside from its own very faint off-white hue.

Has anyone used the Lexol leather cleaner product on their I30's or Maxima's graphite leather? Has this happened to you? Am I being unnecessarily paranoid?

(Sorry if this has been answered before; I did a search for Lexol and there have been a lot of messages posted regarding their products, but none seemed to mention any issues with the color transferred to the white rags used in the process.)

I've used the Lexol cleaner and conditional for a year and a half. I have a frost interior so I guess I wouldn't notice any color coming off but I do use white rags and notice the dirt coming off when using the cleaner. I really wouldn't worry about Lexol taking off any color as they have been around for a long time and their business in soley leather products.
