From first hand experience i will tell u the deal. If it was a auto maxima, your friend is a horrible driver to say the least. Two of my best friends have 97-99 Maximas in auto and i roast them in my Si. Another buddy has a 97 MANUAL Maxima with a Y-pipe and exhaust and suspension and thats it! He ran a 14.2 at the track before the winter, with only a Y-pipe, suspensiona nd an exhaust. if you do not believe me, i can post a link to the video of him hitting the 14.2. An Auto is still gonna run 15.9's and up.

RSX- nice car, crappy drivers

lol, i just wasted like 5 minutes reading through their posts, and its nothing but flaming garbage against each other. Half the guys on their board are just plain stupid. Its pretty funny. Notice how these guys have some sort of psychotic need to prove themselves to be the fastest and the coolest people in the world, and we maxima drivers just know we're cool already and don't need to prove a thing.

wow, most of those super honda guys are a bunch of retards..

Average 5 posts before the thread degenerates into a flame war.. and none of them have got their facts straight =P.

16 second auto maximas? yeah maybe with a broken motor and water in the gas tank..

Yup...flaming bullsh!t, pure stupidity, misinformation, and incorrect "facts" are all typical parts of a Honduh board. They shovel it right out of their a$$es!

those guys really get worked up easily huh....

I beat an RSX last Friday after he bolted off theline on me. I was sitting there with 3 people in the car and this guy squeels out, so from 2nd I just decided to punch it and let it climb. I was passing him in 3rd gear. He shaved his badges but he had the rims, and it was definitely hitting the VTEC note. Sounded good, but he was beat.

I love the guy over there talking about the Type R RSX he owns.... ha ha.

It's worse than a soap opera.

It's like a never ending straight-to-video movie ... bad acting and horrible script and cheezy effects and all.

they were being very respectful of the maxima and most of them were very honest about their car and what it can do. I then see a couple maxima.org members starting trouble with people who respect us. Think of a M5 owner coming here and telling us we are slow... there was no reason to go there and post, it only made us look lame.

Then I guess it's time for you to get rid of that 2400 baud modem.

It is a great comeback. Maybe you just don't get it.

If the server is so crappy, then how about donating so we can get a better server?

Many, many members have trouble getting on.
With all the money people have donated, the sever seems to have gotten worse over time...
the server seems to be not working to its potential..

Sorry to make an example out of you, but this needs to be said ... yet again ... because people always seem to forget. That and they don't read the announcements or feedback forum EVER.

The donations are going towards a NEW server.

The donations are not for the upkeep and support of the current server.

So when people say, "With all that money people have donated, how come the server is still crappy and giving us server busy errors?"

It's because the money that people have donated is going towards the new server.

Think of this way. The Org is a car that we all use and it's breaking down. So Jambo has asked for donations so he can get a better car for all of us.

People donate and then while riding in the old car, ask, "Why isn't this car fixed yet? Where is all the money we gave you?"

DUH! It's going towards the new car!

The RSX is pretty slow, ive seen them in action a lot. With more HP, torque, bigger engine and I-Vtec they run the same times as the less powerful GSR. I have an Acura and I am really disapointed with the RSX, especially the looks. I just can't understnad where Acura went wrong...anyone know what happened?

The new RSX weighs 200 lb more than the GS-R. Also, 6spd transaxles tend to have a nasty habit of having more parasitic losses than 5spd tranny's, so there you have it I guess...

Nissan did the same thing when it went from the 99 4th Gen to the 00+ 5th Gen Maxima. They gave the 5th Gen more power but not enough to overcome the additional 250 lb of weight so the 00-01 5th Gen's aren't actually any faster, and maybe even a tad slower than the old 4th Gen Maxima's. They fixed that little issue on the 02 5th Gen's though. 255 HP instead of 222
