I want to know if the stillen y pipe actually gives off 20 hp. my friend said it will only give you this much if you are supercharged.true or false

 

It won't give you that much, but with intake probably 15. It is definitely noticeable on the top end. I'd say it gives you 3 times more power than just an intake (thats how it feels anyway). Also, you could use the search function.

 

VeeTec gained 16 hp at the wheels with a Y-Pipe as his only modification, which is approximately 19hp at the crank. It really does make a huge improvement. A word of advice though, don't get the stillen Y pipe. Get another brand.

 

what ever it gives it surer is alot more than the stock and you can feel the difference.

 

no doubt, the truest n/a mod that can be diagnosed by the butt dyno, in my opinion all the other ones are merely sound jading actual gains until the y pipe is added, becuz now ur cylinders are clearing up more making the exhaust mod serve its function, and with more volume to fill, the intake will therefore be sucking in more air making that serve its purpose as well, the y pipe is the connector point that puts it all together.

 

the y pipe makes a whole lot of a difference i used to raced my homie with a built up altima he would beat me by 8 cars atleast after y pipe i beat him by a car,alot more power especially top end

 

im pritty sure an altima doesnt have a y pipe because its a 4 cylinder

 

I think he meant after he got a y pipe he beat his friends altima. However if you are losing to an altima in a Maxima you are doing something wrong heh.
