Ice Racing - Representing the Max!

I went up to New Hampshire last weekend and did some ice racing - racing on a frozen lake. Very cool, pun intended.

My friend and I drove my 2000 Maxima SE with Bridgestone Blizzak MZ-01 ice/snow tires. We did really well - dominated our class (#1 and #2) and even beat some cars in other classes (read: Subaru AWD WRX!). People thought that my tires were studded - they're not.

I recommend this to anyone who likes autocross or if you just want to find out how to drive on ice.

Here's a couple of pix:

Have any action shots? This sounds really cool, especially to those of us from warmer climates. Ice is just something you put in a drink to us.

They're pretty expensive in 225/50 R17. About $165/each I think. But well worth it in the winter. Unfortunately, we haven't seen any snow all year - just about 4 inches combined.

Cool, thanks. I'm gonna pick up 4 since their on sale right now and slap them on my stock rims for next winter.
