Rewiring corners quick question
Rewiring corners quick question
I was just getting read to rewire my corner lamps when I realized that on Chestons page he mentions for 97-99s only.
I have the 97 corners though with a 95 car (ie doing the 95->97 front end conversion) but without changing the wiring.
Is the reason he states for 97-99s only is because of the corner lights itself or something to do with the wiring?

Sorry, I don't have any info. but I plan to do this to my 95 so I am jumping into this thread to stay informed. Another question though; if you do this rewire, will adding side marker lights that you parallel to the blinkers create too much current draw??? Thanks.

well i could say use to search function cause i ust answered a thread like that no more than a month ago, but ill explain again....
some of claimed you can do this also by clipping off a nub...i dont know which one so you'll have to ask...my way manually rewires your side lights and is much moer difficult but still easy....
you take one of your corner lights out so you can get a nice view of the wiring....there should be one black one and 2 other wires...simply, splice and switch the wires, solder or tape them up as you please...and wallah, you'll get brighter lights that look real mean at night. good luck

:o)
I beleive he says '97/'99 only because those were the years that Nissan stopped giving clearance lights to. They are physically there but they don't actually get brighter when you put your blinker on as do our '95/'96s. Perhaps the how-to you were looking at was showing the '97/'99s how to get their clearance light function to work. ? I didn't do a re-wire nor a bulb nub file. I simply pulled my bulb out, turned it 180^, and with a little force and the right angle, I forced it in to place. No permanent damage and I can go back at any time.
Good luck to you.
Good luck to you.

It clearly says "rewiring corners" dohhh! Now that I know what's up; what rquida says seems correct to me.
