2001 AE Rims bubbly and pitting.

Help, does anyone know about this? My 2001 AE Rims from day one were bubbly, but never reported the problem. Now that its past 20,000km, and those bubbles have turned black. Help, they don't want to help me....

Thanks.

I know this is not helpful but I've gotta know... why would you not report the bubblies?

You might try calling Nissan @ (800) nissan1. Ya just miight get lucky if they've had more than a few complaints.

Are we talking all the rims or what?

It's possible to dip/paint the stock rims or you may get lucky and get in on some kind of group discount on new rims at this forum.

One more thing. the first 22,370 km should be covered under Nissan's bumber to bumper coverage. All Nissan dealers are bound by that coverage. At least in the U.S.

2 tell you the truth, I did. But the dealer said, come back and leave us the car one day. Well, i had no idea @ 18,000km that my warranty was only good till 20,000km, so when i went back at 23,100km for oil change, he tells me my warranty is up. So ofcourse, he never wrote it down anywhere, because we discussed it outside, I have no proof, and the guy doesn't remember. So basically, I got shafted by the BIG MAN.

Did you have 3 year/57,000 km bumper to bumper? (A quick math conversion of 36,000 miles x 1.609 = 57,924 km)

in canada it's 3yrs/60,000kms bumper to bumper

however, some dealers like to say that there's a 12month/20,000km warranty on certain things such as wear and tear items... this is probably what silentbuzz was mentioning that the dealer told him

silentbuzz, which dealer do you go to in Toronto?

For all Nissan cars, exterior trim and rims are not covered by the 3yr/60,000km warranty.
