If your Bosch Platinums have a big, white, cone shaped electrode.......
I'd say change em!
First of all, the local nissan dealership did my last spark plug change, so its safe to say they are puttin the bosch's in every max they get....dont ask me.
Next, I put in the NGK plats and they alleviated me of my rough cold start problem for the most part
.
Lastly, my old plugs dont look like any of the pics from HAYNES so, I dont know what to make of them- could they just be real old?
They have no visible electrode, and just a white cone shaped structure which is so big it supplies the correct gap
.
Why do I feel like a newbie?

The reaseon you don't see any electrode in your old Bosch plugs is because our ignition systems EAT Bosch plugs. The electrode was indeed there when the plug was new. I just pull a set out of an Infinity with 12K miles on them which also had no electrode left. The car was experiencing hard starts and a rough idle.
Do not use Bosch plugs in the VQ engine. They cannot handle the intensity of our ignition systems.
