Maxima vs Jetta/Prassat

this old geaser at my job just got a prassat wit this nice looking shifter...something i heard the audi's had...but it looks hot for those handicapped ***s that dont' know how to drive stick, makes it easier to shift without the extra pedal...anyway, he see's my car and says, "is that your maxi pad there, bleeding" and i'm like ohhhhhh, no he didn't...i want to race him so bad and show him what a maximus can do but i'm scared he'll smoke me and he'll just get more bragging rights...it's a 2001 Volkswagon Prassat...he took off and it went kind of fast...yea i'm intimidated...never had a person talk ish and be able to back himself up...hope things won't change...i have no performance mods besides an FSTB, someone give me words of confidence or i'll have 2 take a huge L from his verbal trash talking

What's a "Prassat"? Some type of new Checkoslovakian car?

You do stand a good chance, if you know how to drive. They are very competitive with Maximas. I have beaten my friend's 2001 V6 Passat auto many times.

You were going for performance? And all you had was an FSTB? What were you thinking...

You can't blame him. That's the most ridiculous (not to mention rice) product on the market right now. Well, okay second to the electronic blow-off valve simulator.

Ok, I'm gonna say it and be a nice guy just because.

Meeca - It's not called a "Prassat" It's a "Passat"

Second, that "shift without the extra pedal" is not anything like a stick.
It's still an auto, just with a pretty shift panel. The 2001/2002 Maximas have them also (Does the 2k?, I'm not 100% sure.).

Last, my co-worker has a Passat. I walk on him every time we race.
If he had a stick, then maybe he'd beat you, but with that auto, I doubt it.

But then again, driver skill and weight has alot to do with it. Anyone know what a Passat weighs as compared to a 4th Gen? I think they're pretty even. The Passat may even be heavier.
