buying a 96 Max

Hey guys,

I'm in the market for a Maxima and have come across a clean 96 SE. I haven't been in the maxima world very long and was wondering if anyone can let me know what the common problems with these cars are. Thanks for you help

Check the ECU to see if any errors come up. How many miles?

Get a 97' or a higher model, they're much more safer.

I just bought a loaded 96 SE with 66k miles. Great car. Had a problem with an 02 sensor, but that was under warranty from a recall replacement. Only other thing is the paint sucks hard. Thats a problem with all max's though I believe.
