Got in an accident, car is fine!

Got in an accident last night. Girl in front of me got cut off, and had to slam her breaks, slammed mine, locked em up and POW wacked her rear at like 35 mph. Pulled over, both cars were fine! I her her directly bumped to bumper at 35 mph and there wasnt even any paint rubbed on either car! no cracks nothing...maxima bumpers kick ***

Cool! Sometimes when you are stopping at nearly the same speed, the damage is marginal. What is really ugly are those damn trucks and SUV's with their high bumpers. Even a low speed collision is a freaking disaster...

I'm not entirely sure what year, but in 1997 or 1998 Nissan improved the structural integrity of the unibody to do better in the front offset collision tests. they also did something to the rear to help it do better in the 5 mph rear bumper collision test. before this improvement they were worried that they would lose sales to the Toyota and Hondas cause of they're superior collision saftey scores. you might want to check out the government crash test sites to verify my rambling!
