The swaybar bushings are very small and the endlink bushings are compressed quite a bit when they are installed correctly so I don't feel that they made too big a difference in the handling of my car. I felt I needed to replace them because mine were very hard after 100,000+ miles. I was upgrading the rest of the suspension with H&R's, AGX's and all the other rubber parts so for the price I thought why not. I can't really say how much they really helped by themselves because of the other things I did to the suspension when I put these in.
They are quite a bit firmer than the originals so they should increase the effectiveness of the sway bar a LITTLE bit.
Oh yeah, you will only need to get one of the 7-5118G's if you decide to order them because they come in pairs. The endlink bushings are sold individually.
I replaced mine as well. I don't know that I noticed much of a difference but my 7 year old bushings were worn out. SO I gladly replaced them at that price. It's an easy job too. One warning - soak the bolts for a little while before your go to remove them. One of the bolts on one of my end links would not give, in fact, the endlink snapped in two before the bolt came off. So I drove around for about a week w/ no FSB and that made a huge difference. When the new endlink came in, I soaked the nut with penetrating oil and it came right off allowing me to install the new one. Could've saved myself time and aggrivation, so now I spray every bolt (withing reason) before I try to remove them.
I have replaced mine. I did notice a difference. As for getting them I went to suspension.com there prices (were/are) better. If you go with the swaybar bushings make sure that you grease the sh*t out of them with a waterproof grease or they will squeeek.
sounds good fellas... i might end up doin it here eventually, my 97 has 97,000 miles on it so i'm sure it could use it... i just saw it on the site and had to ask... thanks for the help in everything
much respect,
mike
