Bittersweet day....took my car in looking for one mod but came out with 2
We had spent at least 2 hours on these things. We had to cut small slits in needle rests so that the screws would be in the right place, we had to punch a small hole for the temp gauge needle rest, and then we had to splice the gauge wires so that they would fit throught the back! Man these things were a b!tch to install!
But afterwards, we were so relieved and I was dead tired. I just wanted to get home! So I jumped into my car, turned on the lights with my new glowing indiglos in my face and reversed. I looked out the back window to make sure I wasn't going to hit anything and before I knew it..BOOM! I had cut too sharply and hit the side of the garage!!! I jumped out of the car and found out my fender had been gashed badly!
The guy said I just needed to replace that one fender. Now, should I have the bodyshop order a stock fender or should I use to opportunity and drop $400 on Phase II fenders since I would need one anyways? Your opinions?

If you deductable isnt too big claim it on your insurance. Take the money and wait till you can find a white fender from a junk yard and use the rest to get some springs. The phase2 will probably lower your resale value too unless you sell it to some 16yo kid.
Sorry to hear about the mistake.
Hmmm...... wouldn't that be $800 shells for two fenders???
Just wondering....... or is it $400 for both???
A third option if you get luck is to go to a near by junkyard and see if there is a white max and get it's fender.
Good luck to ya.
