black chrome altezzas...i know there's been many posts on this

I currently own the ugly regular chrome altezzas on my black maxima and tried painting them black, but thats another horror story. On a black maxima, the general consensus seems to be in favor of the black chrome altezza look on darker cars. I had some trouble finding these altezzas for less than 220 and 240 plus shipping. This site sells "Hiper Maxima 97-98 altezzas" in the black chrome variety for 199.95 shipped:

http://www.gochargeit.com/enetgroup/...add=Maxima9798

Are these genuine altezzas or maybe remakes(i doubt it but you never know)? What does "hiper" in the product description mean? Any other ideas for new tails for a black maxima? Thanks

not really

The horror story on my old altezzas is that I tried to paint them, but the adhesive that I used to attach a piece a cardboard over the circles melted into the light. I tried to get the crap off but the lenses only got scratched. So long story short, right now I have four altezza lenses painted black with noticable defects. I doubt that you'd want them.

You should have used kids glue! I know it sounds crazy, but it worked for me Getting the glue off was just a matter of spraying with window cleaner and wiping it away, no scarring or defects
