Need help with speaker upgrade !! PLEASE

I have tried to get help from the audio fourm, but I didnt ...I am upgrading my stereo and I need to decide on which speakers to get...I have it down to wither the Infinity Reference series components and coaxs, or the Polk EX components, and the new GXR6 coax's...I am runningnthem off a Pioneer DEH-P6300 Headunit, 50x4....So, Infinity or Polk ???I cant afford anything else, so dont recomend Focal, JL ect.....Both these sets cost 220 $.....Thanks

I'm a Focal person myself, but in that line I would suggest Polk EX. I've listened to both the EX and the Infinity Reference speakers and while the Infinity played slightly louder at volume, the Polks had a more natural sound to them. The Infinity reminded me of my old MB Quarts, with bright tweeters, and a flat midrange. The Polks had a live sound that mimicked true instruments. I think the Polks are better.

Yeah, but then he would be leaving the Polk, Infinity, Pioneer, Sony Xplod', Cerwin Vega range. He would be in the MB Quart, Diamond Audio, Boston Acoustic range.

I have the Polk Ex 3 sperates and coaxes in my max now... the sound awsom. Make sure you run a good amp to em. I had a weak amp and was dissapointed untill i got a new MTX amp. The Infinities do sound good however. Ive just been a Polk man since i got my first set a few years back. Let me know if you need more info about em.
John.
