kumho ecsta 711?

how are the kumho ecsta 711..these are the ones under the 712...theye high performance all season H rated...the reason i want them instead of the712's is cuz the 712's have real bad snow/wet traction..and they are Z rated which is a waste for me, cuz i dont ever push more than 130 which is wut H is rated...especially not in NYC, and with my speeding tix...the 711's are cheaper, and have better treadlife(by a 100), and fit my needs better...imma be putting them on 17's that ill get this summer, prolly 225/45/17..wut have u guys hurd about this tire or experienced with it? hardly ever see anyone mention this tire

I have 1 Kumho Supra Ecsta 711 and 2 712's , and a Marshall, actually the 711 holds up pretty good, I kinda like it a little better than the 712. But the 712 is awesome also, i only paid $89 for it installed at a local tire place. I would recommend if you wish to try it.

A lot of people say they don't "need" Z rated because they will never drive that fast. But in most cases, a tire with a higher speed rating will also perform better overall. So, while you may not go 130mph (no one ever should, its really dangerous), a the Z-rated 712's will outperform the H-rated 711's when you have to make an emergency swerve, at say, 60 mph.

If you need snow traction, the answer is simple, don't get a non-all season tire. Check out the Bridgestone RE950 and Dunlop SP5000 also. I've driven my 712's in snow and they were not horrible, but definitely very "squirrely" feeling.

I think this is true.

I got H rated supras, My brother's got Z rated supras. The Z rated ones are lot noisier and seem to have better grip.

I've got 712s and think they are OK for the price. They
have decent grip but they howl considerably when pushed...they
are fairly predictable at the limits as well...i guess i
expected too much from such a reasonably priced tire...next
time i'm going to go all the way and get some S-03s...

For all season tires, I have tried 711s and SP5000s....the dunlops
are more money, but they are an awesome tire...the 711s (which are
currently mounted on my stock rims) are ok...but they are noisy
when pushed hard...(better treadwear than the dunlops though)...
