Wood Dash ? I30 and Max

I know this topic has been posted to death, but there's one question that I can't seem to find an answer for. It's been mentioned here that the I30 OEM wood dash kit covers the entire center console including the 3 pieces that are missing on my 99 GLE (Vents, Clock, and A/C). It's been said that the I30 pieces will fit on the max. Is this true? If so, does anyone know what year I30 has the same console pieces as the 99 GLE? I've done the searches but can't seem to find the answer. Any Help?

if i'm not mistaken, any "4th gen" I30 (96-99?) should have the correct sizes...i feel the same way about both my max and I30...my 96 I30 has the wood all over...over the A/C, etc...and my max just has the black plastic...but it doesn't bother me too much...but i was just wondering why nissan would cheap out on probably $15 worth of wood trim

I know. It's just that with my GLE having wood "half way" done, it looks unfinished and bothers me, I looked into a couple of those after market OEM match kits, and I ordered one from Alkaplus but the fit was HORRIBLE! Seemed like all the pieces were cut a little to small. I figured they were all like that so I might as well try and replace the whole thing.

I know how you feel. I didn't think much of it when I got the car, but as I was taking pictures today I thought it looked a little odd. I'm not sure if I really mind, though. I kind of like the black/wood combination there. More wood might actually make the car look cheaper.

This place supposedly has high quality stuff and it's factory-match wood BUT it doesn't have the clock/climate control - just the other 7 pieces (and it's $140)

Found a Nissan Part number that may be the answer to our problems. I think it's the kit you would get if you went to the dealer. Normally sells from $200-$300. I'm checking on it and will let you know.

I30 dash is slightly different then the Maxima. Up top, the A/C vents are in a slightly different location, There more "flat" on the dash then the Maxima. The console up to the clock is exactly the same, then things start to change slightly. Thats exactly where your looking for pieces too. My last fling had a 98 I30, great car! Infiniti goes do a nice job at refinishing the Maxima.

So "up to the clock" is including the clock? And do the colors match?

If you get part numbers, PM with the info on how to get them.

Thanks.

Oh, check into both the Cefiro and Cefiro Wagon.

They were not a kit. However, Nissan does offer a kit at some dealerships.

Here is the parts from Samsung SM5...
Same interior design as Maxima.

Original OEM Samsung SM5 Parts but as looking at the picture of the interior wood dash color is little different.
So I think you will need whole new dash kit...
You can get in either wood dash or metal grain dash made by Samsung..

You are the man! Question though, why is the 2002 SM5 just like our 4th gen cars. Shouldn't it look like a fifth gen.

I think Nissan gave them the rights to use the previous design so it isn't in competition with the current lineup.
