NO...not that rear end. Do you think a 95 max would look better with the letters shaved off the trunk or on.

Peace - Chad

i had mine done at a bodyshop for like $30. They even ran a polishing wheel over the entire rear end to make it shine nice! then again this was 3yrs ago.

grab your self a heat gun or hairdryer, some good strong dental floss or anything as such. Heat up the area you want to remove and cut the glue wiht the floss. This will take a while (5 minutes) after you remove the nissan sign or whatnot use some googone to remove the rest of the glue thats on the trunt. Then wax.

and make sure you wax it too!! lol

personally, I prefer the non-shaved look unless you have a rear valence/bumper. It looks too plain w/o one

is there a problem with having my emblams shaved by a pro??

for $30 i got alot done, the key hole was painted to match and they ran a polishing wheel over the entire trunk to get rid of any marks from the emblams. Plus it was money i made making ID's when i was away at college

What about moving the Nissan emblem down further towards the center? Seems like it'd look weird up top with nothing below it.

illuminated shift ***

Dhan - that shift **** looks great!

Were you the one asking for opinions on shift patterns a few months ago? Is this the result of that?

Did you put together a DIY tip for this?

Shave it all!

I say go for it - one of the first things I did. Following is a top 10 list I made when someoen else asked this question. This is all just my opinion, but here you go:

The top 10 reasons to shave your Maxima and Nissan trunk logos:

11. It will make your car 2 ounces lighter which will help your 1/4 mile time by .0000001s. I'm just kidding, o.k., seriously, on to the top 10:

10. Because we CAN!! Be grateful we can even do it. Some cars like the Accord, have holes behind the emblyms.

9. Advertising sucks!

8. The M-A-X-I-M-A emblym is just way too large.

7. The Nissan hamburger isn't the best looking logo to begin with. A truly good logo doesn't need to say the manufacturer inside it like Nissan, Ford, BMW, etc. Ex. Look at Lexus, Infiniti, Toyota, Acura, Mercedes, etc.

6. Anybody who knows cars, will still know it's a Maxima. If anybody needs to read Maxima to know you have a Maxima, they aren't worth letting know you have a Maxima in the first place. (Huh? what did I just say?)

5. It adds some mystery to your car. It makes people think for a second.

4. It is just way too much fun when you get a parking ticket at school and the Make/model reads 'Unknown'!

3. Chrome sucks! It is tacky and outdated.

2. Be unique! Why look like every other non-customized Maxima out there? And even most customized Maximas for that matter!

1. And the number one reason... drum roll please... go for the CLEAN look!!

Now just make sure to paint the keyhole body color (or shave it - but that's expensive). Good luck and let us know what you decide.

Use a little meguire's body scrub to remove the remnants
of the adhesive / lettering outlines. Works great..not much effort. Follow up with a coat of wax.

Is there any way to get that painted on dealer logo off my rear?

Also, if I shave my rear, will it grow back?

I like it, but not sure if I can make the keyhole look good with my touch up Nissan pt, and afraid I'll be a ticket/ricer target (latter not so bad I guess

out
