Quick poll on what people think of the 99 Maxima's cloth interior. I'm pretty indecisive on whether to get leather or cloth, but if you all like the cloth then I'll get that. If I end up not liking it, I can always get some custom 2-toned leather seats, right?

 

bump...sorry, needed some opinions.

 

I have a 99SE and the seats are a nicer cloth than GXEs. I live in Texas and wouldn't want leather in the first place, especially OEM The consensus here is that the leatherseats.com leather is really nice, but can be a pain to install if you want to DIY. Overall it's all what you want, but if you are considering staying with cloth the SE cloth is better.

The cloth is ok I only wish that he offered it in black. To me still the best cloth interior in the Max was the 89-90 GXE very classy looking cloth especially in the black.

 

Cloth interior is cloth interior and theres nothing wrong with it. Worry about other parts of the car like the engine, paint etc....

 

Then again, remember that when you're driving you don't have to look at the exterior paint but you do have to deal with the material your @ss is sitting on.

By the way, the cloth in the SE I test drove was so-so. Not particularly great, but not horribly uncomfortable or anything. The leather is a bit nicer IMHO opinion and better than the leather you'd find in an Accord or Camry, but it's not excellent or anything.

But the best thing is to go out and test drive/sit in some Maxima's and decide for yourself...
