Need a oem muffler

I have a '97 Maxima. What years will work? Going to comb the salvage yards I guess.

That's what I'm thinking. Just wondered what all the years I can use that will be a direct fit.

im not exactly positive but i think the muffler from the spec V is the same from the maxima GXE and GLE but im not sure. anyway they had to do a little modifiying to make it fit but it wasnt noting drastic. i dont know if you like the new max mufflers but from having one on my car i wasnt sure if i would like it but seeing it on there it looks awesome!!! although i painted mine black so it would be a sleeper exhaust to match my black max. i would highly recommend a newer style muffler

doesnt matter what car it comes from, a local muffler shop should be able to make it fit no matter what

Yeah I'm trying to bypass the muffler shop. Looks simple, the nuts aren't even that rusty looking.

May be time for a mmmm y-pipe while I'm at it, but that's more than I need now. The power I mean.

any 1997-1999 Nissan Maxima GXE/SE/SE-L/GLE (any model) exhaust will work perfectly.

I have a 1996 Stock Muffler. It's in excellent shape. I'm getting my Powertech muffler installed Tomorrow...

Let me know if you're still interested, and I'll work out a reasonable purchase price with you.
