Enjoy it now cause in a few hours it will be covered in dust again but black is worth it when perfectly clean. Now the pollen is falling from the trees so I don't think there's a point in cleaning my Max for a few weeks.

Tell me about it. I cleaned my car about five days ago. This morning I walk outside and my beautiful silver max looks yellow.

Luckily it rained five minutes later and all the pollen got washed away. Guess it's time for a cleaning again tommorow...

Mine was washed today by Mother nature herself. Drove over 200 miles in misty rainy weather. Now I am home, the thing is filthy! Road Grime city!

yeah, i know...my max was nasty though...more gray than anything, with a yellowish hood...yummy...lots of dirt, just decided today was a better time than ever

also, when doing the wax, i'm supposed to be doing it in circular motions right?...this was the first time i have waxed, and it looks like it is leaving circular marks in certain areas, mainly the hood...any ideas?

Your supposed to do it in circular motions. Maybe you didn't go over it enough times when taking off the wax?

by the way, dont wax in the sun unless you want permanent swirls on the hood!

Making circles will give you swirls, especialy in the hood and roof. Apply wax in straight lines from top to bottom, try to section off the job as you go (I usually split my hood into three sections:

1st Section, everything to the left of that little nozzle that sprays your windshield
2nd Section: everything between these two nozzles
3rd Section: everything to the right of the nozzle.

Also, someone mentioned it earlier, Stay out of the sun when you wax. Pick a nice shady spot, like a garage or something. Another good tip is to keep a bottle of detailing spritz, or a plain old bottle of luke warm water (poor a little wax in the bottle and mix it up). If you should come a cross a swirl that doesn't want to buff out, spritz it and buff again.

Enjoy it while the weather is still good!! I just recently washed, polished & waxed my Max using the Meguiars 3-step wax system (doesn't show like I did it on a White Max, but the color looks like its supposed to ), along w/ a good interior cleanup & vacuum, gotta say my Max looks like new inside & out!!

I think I have it the worst....I forgot to close my moon roof yesterday and it rained in my maxima for the length of the night until I looked outside in horror! Atleast an inch in my cup holders! Now It's vacuumed out but I have to wait and see if its going to smell like mildew before I do anything else...I am so p****d you can't even know!

Do you have cloth or leather seats? Becuz if you have cloth & your carpeting and cloth seats are still damp, better dry them out a.s.a.p., leather on the other hand isn't as much worry but try to dry out the carpets & the mats if they're still damp as much and as fast as you can. You might want to watch out for electrical problems in case parts of the dash got wet enough that water may have gotten into the tight spots..... believe me I had a '97 Altima once and I was in a similar situation when I accidently forgot to roll up my window at a full-service car-wash.

Wow that really sucks, something like that happened to me but MUCH worse. Thank god it was my old car and not my max, but my mom took my car shopping one day last july because her car was in the shop. And SOME HOW a half gallon carton of milk spilt on my rear floor mats and carpet. And of course she takes some napkins and just lays them on top of the puddle of milk and closes the door and walks away. Then next day, which I might add was an extremely hot day, I get in my car and Oh My God!! I bet where ever that car is, it still smells like raunchy sour milk.
