Interest in G-Tech group deal...

Just checking who would be interested in a brand new G-Tech Pro deal. First off, it's the old style (they're brand new though) not the brand new that costs over $200. Second, I have talked to the dealer that will supply these and I'm still feeling him out. I just ordered one for myself today and will see how good his cust. serv. is and the product (but he's already sent me a tracking number w/i like 2 hrs of placing the order; so far so good.). Third, the price is going to be contingent upon where you live because the dealer will charge $9.90 to ship it to me (5 or whatever at a time) and then obviously I would have to ship out to you.

Bottomline, I just want to know how many people would be interested in buying one for $103-105/ea (I'm still negotiating with him) plus shipping? BTW, I haven't actually checked but when I get mine I'll look but...I don't think the shipping will be more than around $5-6 in 2-3 priority mail. Not 100% sure though so don't quote me.

I just want to know who would be interested, so I know if I should keep negotiating with him or just forget it.

I'd be interested. I think every group of friends should have a G-tech to share.

It looks like a radar detector and connects to the car like one, but it gives you 0-60, 1/4mi, G's, and 60-0 times. It also calculates HP numbers. The total accuracy of this has been debated but as a tool to find out if your mods have improved the car or not it is very helpful IMO.

One more thing

I think it's great to use as a performance/tune-up check. If your numbers aren't what they used to be, they probably is something wrong with you car...fule filter, air filter, plugs, PCV, what have you.

$135 on the web site

The G Tech Pro lists at $135 on the site. Is the same one you are talking about that lists for over $200?

Let me know!

Add in shipping costs and you're over $140. That is the whole reason I even offered. G-tech (Tesla) makes every single dealer sell the G-tech for $139. The dealer I would be getting them from is selling for less because he got a shipment from an out of business dealer (according to him). The problem comes in that he says he will let me have them for 10% less than the usual $114.99 that he sells them on ebay for (which is what I just paid for one to him just yesterday) and with shipping it's a little over $120. With the discount, my math says he will ship to me 5 units @ $103/ea plus $9.00 shipping for all 5. Problem is then I would have to ship out individually to everyone from here (at what cost?). See what I mean? I am still negotiating with him on the price and he is hinting lower prices for higher guaranteed numbers, that's why I posted.

I don't personally need one, like I stated above I just ordered one from the same guy just yesterday (he emailed me the tracking number w/i like 2 hrs). I am just trying to see how much interest there would be in this (I'm not trying to make money here, just trying to help) because when I was ordering my own I mentioned to him about doing a group deal here for my boys on the org. My idea was possibly, depending on demand, if there was a large demand I would try and ask a couple of people in different points thru the U.S. to take the shipment in their area (i.e. lower shipping cost=lower total costs to people buying). People from right here in the org.

It was just a thought. If you're not interested that's cool.

Sorry about that, I didn't even answer your question; The model I'm talking about is the one that normally sells for $139. The very newest model sells for well over $200 and requires permanent mounting which kinda kills the portability that most people like. I did ask the guy over the phone about that one and even he can't get a good deal on them yet, too new.

Let me remind everyone that this is advertised as brand new sealed one. Not refurbished or rebuilt. I emphasize right now the word advertised because I haven't received mine yet. When I do, probably Thursday, I will post and give my first impressions on the product.

Yes sir I did get it. It was right on schedule and brand new in the box. It works perfectly, except it's kinda difficult to get an accurate read out in suburbia. The reason is that, unless I'm just not doing something right, you have to set it while you are standing still. It does take into consideration all the elements like topography, movement, and the like. It seems pretty accurate when you do use it. It came in handy last week after some mod installs to immidietly see the difference from baseline. I would highly recommend it. I may go to the track on Fri. and I will definetly be able to compare it's accuracy and get some really good baseline numbers since the track is perfectly flat and obviously you start off from a standstill.
