Is this a correct assumption?

Nope.

My GXE didn't have a limiter.

Auto GXE's with S&C package had no limiter (except for mzmtg )

Auto GXE's w/o S&C package have a limiter.

And I'm not sure about 5 speed GXE's.

Edit: Damn Sprint beat me to this thread.

I have the C&C package. Are there any differences between this as the S&C (one possibly being 95-96 and one 97-99)? I don't have a limiter either, been there, tested that.

I don't think there was ever a package called the Comfort and Convenience package. It was always called the Security and Convenience package.

What speed are the limited versions limited to? >>

And I think that both are right, I could've sworn it was called the Comfort, Security and Convenience package. I'll check, I have the window sticker somewhere in the glovebox.

I really meant it. I'm searching for a replacement ECU because I shorted mine out. There is possibility ending up with a GXE ECU.
