How difficult is it to install H&R Springs and KYB AGX shocks on a 2K2?
How difficult is it to install H&R Springs and KYB AGX shocks on a 2K2?
My H&Rs are in my dining room floor and the KYBs are on their way. I was very proud of myself for installing the frankencar intake all by myself
. I have a friend that has done alot of his own suspension work on his Civic Si, so I may enlist his help for my Maxima. How long should it take the two of us, or is this a task that is too laborious for DIYers.

It really depends. Some guy here (forgot who) took a good 13 hours to do one. Other's have done it in a couple of hours.
Get a compressor, that would help shorten the time needed to mount the springs on the shocks.

It is a day-long project by yourself
If it is the first time you've done something like this, expect to spend the day on it. If you have a friend, getting two sets of spring compressors will speed things up an enormous amount as one of you can be compressing the new spring while the other removes the old spring. Turning the damn bolts on the spring compressors is probably responsible for the majority of time spent on this.
Check out, about halfway down, on page four...my write-up with Punkdork and ArticMax's mixed in for struts and springs. You will probably have a couple of extra steps regarding the KYB AGX due to the need to modify the top hat or however you're going to handle that. At the very least, take note of all the bolt sizes so you don't end up short a wrench or anything.

Again, it varies. Here in Houston i've got quotes between $95 - $200. Some would throw in the alignment in that price, others wouldn't. But that should give you a good ballpark figure.

Tan, i did check with them. But for some odd reason i get different prices everytime i call.
First time i got the $95 quote, but i couldn't make it that weekend so i called back a week after. I got $125 this time. Oddly enough i was curious and called a couple hours later and got $150. I mentioned "ICCH" but didn't get a discount.
I'll check back with them and mention Mike's name.

Soundmike, did you check with Hyper? Myktek was saying they'll give you a good deal since they're cool with him. I plan on getting the KYB AGX's with Progress Springs next month.
