Are white rims on a white max too RICEY?

I still have my oem SE wheels, because I think they are the 2nd best looking wheel out there, next to Momo Arrows..
But I want white rims, and dont know if they are considered too ricey on a white max or not. A friend of mine told me
"you're too old for that man.. dont get white wheels".

IMO, white wheels on a white max will look GOOD, especially on mine, because my car is as stock as it can be, looking from the outside.
I got no coffee can tips, no stickers, no nothing.
But I do have tint, red/clear tails,(my fav mod), cai, ypipe, eibachs.. (these are the mods I finally settled with, after some experiments and $$)

What do y'all think? Should I get white wheels or not? Or how bout those graphite, gun metals? I like those a lot too.

If its the right type of wheel it would look good to me. Especially since you dont have the typical "rice" stuff on the car. It should look pretty clean.

I saw a white 5th gen near Tampa on I-4 last saturday. Not sure if it was someone on here or not, but it had white rims, and red painted SE badge. It looked real nice, very clean. Definately one the best 5 gens Ive seen.

I think white rims on a white car look way cool. The old Mark III supra had a special all white edition with white wheels as well. Loooked awesome. SprintMax's rides looks very good, too.

if you have just plain white color(not pearl white) Maxima, i guess having white rims is ok...it'd look really clean(like Sprintmax)..

but if you have a pearl white(like mine) and bought plain white rims...i think that'd look sorta weird...

ok.. just to clear a few things up here.. i didn't buy my rims white.. they were actually silver..

I took them to a shop and had them powdercoated to match the factory color.. meaning i took a book out with paint colors and put it against the body color and match what i "thought" was the closest..

some people say white rims are ricey.. personally.. if its not on a white car.. i think it is.. so i am not saying oh yeah.. white rims are not ricey.. its ok if done right..

some people say white rims are ricey on any car.. well thats just their opinion.. i get alot of compliments on how my wheels match the car.. and i am sure their are a few people who find it distasteful also.. but you can't please everyone.. the only person you can please is yourself..

FYI: your car is the same color as mine.. so if you needed a good comparison.. there you go..

here are they now..

more pics here..

its really up to what you want.. not what people think..

Agreed. But I couldn't resist the white on rice comment.

Unless the painted rim matches the paint on the car, it is usually a stupid look.

I had white Enkei's on my '87 SE and I used to get a lot of compliments on the car. If you like the look I say go for it. Modifying your vehicle should express your taste, not what others think looks sweet.
