How do you adjust ACT clutch?!?!

This is insane. I took my car to my mechanic who told me he couldn't/didn't know how to adjust a hydraulic clutch since it's "self-adjusting". Basically, I need to know how to adjust this damn thing. It is possible right? The release is way too close to the top, almost as if it is going out. But, that would be crazy since I've only had the clutch a few thousand miles and don't abuse it. Can anyone please help me out. I remember Ericdwong talking about this on a Sprint post but can't seem to find anything about the procedure. Does the Haynes repair manual show you how to adjust a hydraulic clutch? Can anyone point me in the right direction please?

The clutch is adjusted under the dash where the pedal linkage goes thru the firewall. You need to shorten or lengthen the linkage rod. The picture below is from my 02 but it was the same setup in my 95 and 97.

OK, I printed out the instructions, took it to my man, and we still can't figure it out. How in the hell does that rod turn? It doesn't seem like that thing is going anywhere. How do you lengthen or shorten the rod? Can you guys provide more detailed instructions on what to do. I'm so frustrated. Anyone in the LA area done this before that could help a brotha out?
