Nissan's April sales are up, thanks to the Maxima!
Nissan's April sales are up, thanks to the Maxima!
Nissan Motor Co. recorded a 14.8% sales jump led by double-digit increases in Altima and Maxima passenger cars in April, including a 60% jump in sales for its Infiniti luxury brand.
Infiniti sales refelected demand for the hot-selling new G35 sedan, which competes in the same price class as the Cadillac CTS (of which 3,506 were sold in April, up from 3,145 in March and well ahead of even its own targets.)
For the record, Toyota's U.S. sales were flat at 127,317 and rose 2.2% at Lexus.
At Honda, overall sales increased 1.1% in the month.
Way to go Nissan!

I think this shows when Nissan can kick A$$ when they don't hold back.
Their previous corporate culture was so conservative when it came to styling. Also they clearly kept some of their best technology in Japan.
A tribute to their new president. I think a leadership from a French company was needed to break some of the negative aspects of Japanese culture.

We have to give some thanks to the french who beleived in what Nissan was about. Nissan was major broke *** ya know. Ther merger was a good one. Look at all the others; BMW and rolls royce/rover, Mercedes/Chrysler. Ford/Jaguar. Not quite the total success story of Renault/Nissan.
