Will the seats from a 97 Max fit in a 98?

 

Yes.

Keep in mind, some 98s had side airbags, so the front seats from a 97 won't have them. Therefore, the 98 airbag ECU will not want to reset without 'em. You would have to downgrade the 98 airbag CPU to a non-side airbag one.

Of course, if your 98 does not have side airbags, then all this is moot.

Did Nissan ever make an SE with cloth interior and dual-power seats? I've got an odd color combo (rosewood ext, tan int) and have a manual passenger's seat. The wiring harness is under there for power operation and I would love to find a matching seat.

Am I wishing on a star here?

I hear that Canadian Maximas have heated cloth seats. So, anything's possible.

They did from 87-88 on the SE, if you got the sunroof it came with dual power seats and again from 92-94 on the SE if you got the package with a sunroof.
