how much nitrous can i run?
how much nitrous can i run?
ok guys i have this important question. i've noticed that some 4th generation max's r using high boosts on their SC max and at the same time using nitrous too. so i was thinking if a stock maxima can handle a SC on 10psi boost with a 40hp noz then how much can we get out of nitrous on its own?
p.s. i need an answer ASAP, i'm planning 2 race a SCed max with 12psi boost and is using a a 40hp NOS shot (wet system). we r both on stock internals, n trust me i've seen that car with my own eyes its running with no problems, so can anyone tell me what can b done 2 deal with this dude?

upgrade the fuel system components that need to be upgraded to keep up with the amount of fuel u will need, then run a 100-120shot direct port injection. with that setup u will be making close to 300hp and almost 400tq.
LOL. Yeah but for how long?

Re: how much nitrous can i run?
Buy 6 370cc injectors and a walbro fuel pump (search for part #s), Then get either a JWT n2o program or run a direct port 100-125 shot with either a jacobs mastermind or NX n2o controller. Be sure to run at least 100 octane on the spray also.

I think you could squeze a 125 shot dry as long as the nitrous nozzle is not located too close to the throttle body. But make dam sure you have every thing else right.
Single fogger 125 wet, ummmmm, not me.
So this max you are going to race that has 12psi and a 40 shot, what are the details on it? What is the 1/4 mile time?
All of this stuff would be so much easier if we just had a way, other than a JWT ECU, to retard ignition timing abit. (psssstt, we will soon
)

Like 1100 psi or so. Instead of buying all those jets to try and tune it and crap. my $0.2
Re: Re: Re: how much nitrous can i run?
So let me get this straight your going to push the stock 259cc injectors with over 80psi of fuel pressure inorder to try to supply the nitrous
. I hope an injector doesn't fail because its running over its 95% duty cycle or else. It would be alot safer to just use 370cc injectors which are just large enough for the S-AFC to compensate for (bigger than 370cc and the S-AFC is useless). Plus it would lower your fuel pressure and injector duty cycle.

And I had allways thought the injectors were 239cc, but i have no prfof of this just hersay.

The real reason for going to direct port vs. a single fogger for high HP is direct port will give an even distribution of nitrous to each cylinder, more or less.
If the intake is of poor design for nitrous, results of unevenly spraying 125hp vs 50hp can be much more tragic.
