Greddy Catback pipes + Stock muffler

My dad doesnt like my exhaust. He just noticed it, ive had it on for about a month. He says he wants it off. My parents are divorced, so i dont see my dad much. Could I put the stock muffler on around my dad and take it off when im with my mom. I would just want to take off the muffler, its real easy to take off. So what would it sound like, would that even work?

no u cant, unless u can get the stock muffler extended because the length of the muffler piping are different. You could probably just take it to a muffler shop and they can extend it, but u cant just swap them now as they are.

Is it a car that you primarily drives? If so, I think it kind of unreasonable for your dad to poo poo it. Sure, if your parents gave you the car, they have every right to dictate what goes on but I think that's a little unreasonable if it's your car to drive. Well, at least you have a car... Hopefully you have your stock muffler around. As was said, have a muffler shop set you up. Shouldn't cost that much and yes, it will make the setup considerably quieter, especially if you don't have a Y-pipe.

Aerospeed has some mufflers that " LOOK " stock, if that will do the trick. The Cattman exhaust for the 5th gen looks stock, and isnt too loud. If your Greddy is for a 5th Gen.. Youve got a buyer ! ...
